The Vitamin with a Mission
We don’t do "cause marketing." We do life-changing work.
We’ve all seen it: a massive corporation runs a flashy ad campaign, promising to donate a fraction of proceeds for a limited time just to polish their public image. Once the cameras pack up and the campaign ends, the support stops.
At Passion 4 Health, we refuse to operate that way.
We believe true success isn’t measured by quarterly earnings or corporate profit margins, but by the human lives we touch. Passion 4 K.I.D.S. is not a promotional gimmick or a seasonal marketing strategy—it is the very reason we exist.
Born From a Promise: Charles’s Story
This mission isn't theory to us. It was born from the personal survival story of our founder, Charles Van Kessler.
Born in Amsterdam in 1941 during World War II, Charles was separated from his family as a young child and placed in a state-run orphanage—an environment marked by profound hardship, neglect, and hunger. At just eight years old, Charles escaped, spending years surviving alone on the streets of Amsterdam.
During those uncertain years, Charles held on to one thing: his faith. He prayed daily, asking God to spare his life and guide him through the darkness. In return, Charles made a sacred vow:
"Lord, if you let me survive this, I promise I will dedicate my life to helping little children who are suffering, neglected, and have nowhere else to turn."
God answered that prayer. In 1963, after meeting an American family who heard his story and helped sponsor his journey to the United States, Charles arrived in America to rebuild his life and begin fulfilling his vow.
Decades later, Passion 4 K.I.D.S. is the living fulfillment of that promise.
K.I.D.S. stands for Kids In Desperate Situations.
Two Hearts, One Calling: Charles & Linda
Charles didn’t fulfill this promise alone. When he met his wife, Linda, their shared calling became unstoppable.
Linda brought a lifetime of service and leadership to the mission. Having served in the White House under President Gerald Ford, and later spending nearly 20 years managing international press for Billy Graham, Linda had traveled the globe witnessing the power of faith and service firsthand. When she and Charles united, she poured that entire lifetime of compassion into building and running Passion 4 K.I.D.S.
Today, Charles and Linda run this mission together around the clock. For them, this isn't work managed from behind an executive desk. It is a daily, hands-on calling.
Showing Up With Love: More Than Just Financial Aid
When a family is struck by tragedy, financial relief is only half of what is needed. What parents and children need just as urgently is to know they have not been forgotten.
For Charles and Linda, this work is never handled from behind a desk—and they don’t simply write a check and walk away. They show up personally:
-
Being Present: Visiting families directly in hospitals and at home.
-
Bringing Joy to Kids: Bringing birthday gifts and holiday surprises to kids who haven’t had a reason to smile in months.
-
Emotional Lifelines: Supporting moms and dads through sudden crises—like the unexpected loss of a spouse in an accident—so they don't have to carry the burden alone.
How We Help: Our Four Pillars of Support
When government assistance falls short and traditional resources run out, Passion 4 K.I.D.S. steps directly into the gap. We focus our hands-on resources on U.S. children and families facing critical emergencies:
1. Critical Medical Assistance
We provide funding for children battling complex, critical medical conditions. When insurance companies deny coverage for vital therapies, medical equipment, or essential treatments, we step in so families aren’t forced to choose between overwhelming debt and their child’s care.
2. Wheelchair-Accessible Vans
Mobility means dignity and freedom. We purchase and donate fully equipped wheelchair-accessible vans to families caring for children with severe physical disabilities. This allows parents to safely take their kids to doctor visits, therapy, and school without the painful struggle of lifting heavy wheelchairs in and out of standard vehicles.
3. Emergency Family Relief
When a child faces catastrophic illness or a family loses a parent to a sudden tragedy, their financial security can disappear overnight. We provide emergency relief to cover rent, pay utility bills, and put groceries on the table.
4. Educational Resources
Every child deserves a future. We offer educational tools and resources for kids from underprivileged backgrounds to help break the cycle of poverty.
Hands-On Care. Real Hope.
Every child helped by Passion 4 K.I.D.S. is personally known, prayed for, and supported by Charles and Linda.
Bringing real hope to children in need. That is what drives us every single day.
We proudly support Passion 4 K.I.D.S., our 501(c)(3) non-profit helping U.S. children in need, where our founders, Charles and Linda, work hands-on daily with the children they’re honored to serve.
